Project background and project goalsOur project is motivated by a quotation from our former chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl : "The Daemons of the past haven't been indefinitely banned from Europe. Every generation is faced with the challenge of preventing their return and overcoming old mistrust." We feel this challenge each day. Our School must make its contribution and meet this challenge with vigour. Future generations must be aware of the gravity of these ideas and their value in the EU in order to experience the diversity and possibilities in daily school life. By encouraging intercultural competence and project management within our college, we will be given the skills to complete these challenges with motivation and conviction. Interacting with colleagues from all over Europe offers our teachers a chance to make new experiences and will thereby help us achieve the aforementioned goal.Number and profile of the candidatesTwo interested and dedicated colleagues will be trained abroad. They have the necessary language skills and methodical competences. Given their education and responsibilities within the school, they are the ideal candidates to allow the European mind-set to manifest itself in daily college life as well as in a variety of their extracurricular activities.Depiction of the procedureParticipation in intercultural courses for project management.Project implementationOur goal is to make school life comprehensible and smooth by using the newly achieved intercultural competences. Therefore, we will respect the gained knowledge in our organizational level as well as in everyday lessons. Furthermore, we will be able to encourage partnerships between different schools or institutions as we use our abilities for project management.Target aims, consequences and potential long-term benefitThese experiences will benefit our school in various ways. They will help us building networks that will be an advantage for all of us. Today it is inevitable to work in this pattern as it is required to build networks even in personal life. Our students and teachers will both benefit from it and they will start to embed Europe in their personal life more often.
