Based on the experience of past years, we intend to put emphasis on the competencies and professional trends in which the time spent in German working culture, in professional education and practice in the salon can be useful. Our students should be aware of the tricks, practice the quality of German hospitality. They need to improve their behaviour and the quality of communication with clients. Apart from revising and improving professional practices they need to obtain skills in communication, a higher quality of service of the client has to be executed, and this has to be done through practice. An important objective is that the hairdresser and beautician students participating in the internship in Germany know and are able to use the methods and rules of the salons in Germany, and to be able to communicate more easily. The students are learn the profession for an average of one or two years before they can participate in the project, so they have the basics necessary to be able to concentrate on the goals of the programme. The main steps of the project are as follows: 1 Preparatory phase. Writing the proposal, making of the work plan, consulting with the German party. 2 In case of successful tender: making the opportunity known for students via lectures and seminars. Assessment of student applications. 3 Preparatory phase for students. Language, professional, cultural and psychological preparation. 4 Onward journey, foreign internship. 5 Coming back home. Evaluation and closing of the project. Propagation of results. The project results are evaluated based on the objectives, and we make improvements for the upcoming project(s). We wish to see the student motivation to increase towards foreign practice, and that more students try to take advantage of the opportunity. If necessary, in the next period we would increase the number of participants. The project as a whole is consistent with the language skills and social skills development specified in our curriculum .
