First Link - Development of electronic information and customer service system (First Link )

The aim of the project is to develop electronic information and customer service system for the use of companies and organisations in Southwest Finland and Tallinn area.The system will activate the use of HEIs’ expertise and services and make the services more accessible. In addition, both HEIs will receive information about the needs of the companies in the region and the regional demand for certain expertise and services. The object is not to create a new information system from the beginning but to utilise and develop the marketing and information portal TAIP (Teadus- ja Arendustegevuse Infoportaal) used in Tallinn University. The aim of the project is to 1) map the internal and external needs concerning issues in information flow and customer management and to 2) correspond to the needs of both higher education institutions (HEIs) by developing new properties to TAIP and to test the applicability of TAIP for the environment of Turku Polytechnic.
