Date du début: 28 févr. 2013, Date de fin: 27 févr. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Project Partners know each other for several years. They have met on many occasions during various tournaments. Both sports clubs take the training of junior talents very professionaly and on a high level. Several of their previous athletes play for the national team and their success is measured in numbers. Since in both in Hungary and Serbia the financial resources for the support of young volleyball talents are limited, the present project is seen as a great help in providing the means and resources in recognizing and supporting young volleyball talents in the projects region. The aim of the present project is to embrace junior talents and develop and manage the skills of the existing talents. We believe that our efforts will bolster the process of developing the peoples sports identity and atittude towards volleyball in the cross-border region. The multicultural cooperation will bring a more complex, a more higher level thinking in participants of both countries.Main activities in the NEW VollAge project, are:1.) 3 Lajos Titkos memorial tournaments -100 participants (HU)2.) Creation of a volleyball camp (duration 1 week) for the 7-16 age group (HU)3.) Organizing a Street Volley- 1,400 contestants (SRB)4.) Orgainizing a Beach Volley- 260 participants (SRB)5.) Popularizing sports, the program and teaching the possibilities for the young talents. It is very important that the clubs provide the equipments and means for theseactivities. In this effort, within the frame of the project several teams will be equiped with the proper equipment and a special medical check will also be carried out.As a result of the opportunities provided by the project (competitions, camps, professional expertise) young talents will recieve ample opportunity to develop, whereasat the same time volleyball will recieve an opportunity to get popularized for the wider public as well. Achievements: The aim of this project was to support junior talents and to develop and manage the skills of existing talents. The efforts of the two volleyball clubs to maintain the process of developing a sporting identity and attitude towards volleyball in the cross-border region were successful. Since financial resources for supporting young volleyball talents are limited in both Serbia and Hungary, this project was seen as a great help in providing the means and resources to recognise and support young volleyball talents in the project region. Three memorial volleyball tournaments were held in Szeged, a training camp for children between the ages 7 and 16 was held in Hungary, the Street Volley competition with 1,400 contestants was held in Subotica, and a Beach Volley competition with 260 participants was held in Serbia. The main message promoted at the events organised for general public and all interested players was to embrace idea of living healthy and active lives, while engaging in an inherently social sport: volleyball. During the project, several teams were equipped with the necessary sports equipment and players could have a special medical check-up. The partners believe that their efforts to popularise volley ball among young people were successful. They introduced thousands of children to volleyball, inspiring them to reach beyond the achievements of the previous generations and become ambassadors in the communication of sports. The spirit of competition also helps bring out the most from us. The two clubs, while teaching children about the importance of competitiveness, also emphasised and instilled in the young players the values of sportsmanship, respect for the opponent and the sport itself. The partners efforts bolstered the process of developing peoples sporting identity and attitude towards volleyball in the cross-border region.
