Financial support for Eurostudent
Date du début: 7 janv. 2016, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The overarching goal of the EUROSTUDENT project is to provide a broad policy-relevant cross-country comparison of data on the social dimension of European higher education, with the aim to facilitate learning about strengths and weaknesses or simply idiosyncrasies of national higher education systems and – thereby – help countries to see their own higher education system in a new light. The EUROSTUDENT project is based on a network of researchers and data collectors, representatives of national ministries and other stakeholders working together, including France via the National observatory of students life (OVE). As the Eurostudent 5th round, where 30 countries where involved, a similar number are expected to participate in the Eurostudent 6th round. The main goal of the project is to ensure that EUROSTUDENT VI will once again deliver valid, high-quality data by assisting national research teams with relevant tools. The EUROSTUDENT VI (E:VI) outputs are: (1) at an international level : (i) a comparative report ; (ii) Intelligence Briefs: presenting E:VI information and interpretive help on specific topics; (iii) The EUROSTUDENT data-base: a publicly accessible online data-base containing all of the data gathered from the national contributor. (2) at a national level in France: (i) a special intelligence brief concerning the Eurostudent VI data (in both French and English); (ii) the promotion of the E:VI data by comparing the French situation with other countries in most of the OVE publications and also in the OVE’s communication in the media when relevant ; the valorization of the E:VI data on the OVE website and social networks (facebook, twitter…). So that the primary users of data on student life in France (higher education policy-makers, researchers, students and medias) are more used to see the findings from EUROSTUDENT and compare the French situation with other countries as a news analysis perspective.
