Iceland intends to participate in the sixth round of EUROSTUDENT VI. The main reason for participation is to collect comparable data about social dimension in higher education. Such data has been missing for Icelandic higher education student body hitherto. The data are necessary to fully implement the Bologna process in Iceland and make the Icelandic higher education system compliant with EHEA commitments. Goals of the EUROSTUDENT projectThe project will especially focus on the following goals in the 6th round of EUROSTUDENT:• To provide a broad policy-relevant cross-country comparison of data on the social dimension ofEuropean higher education byo providing high-quality, comparable data in line with international standards forcomparative data analysiso providing data of high political relevance on themes set in close cooperation withdecision-makers and stakeholderso Further broad usage of EUROSTUDENT data for additional (in-depth) analyses andcomparisons is supported by providing the data to the public and encouraging thefurther use.
