FELSOSZÖLNÖK IVÓVÍZ

The main goal of the project is to resolve the issue of the supply of drinking water to parts of the Jánoshegy and Kakasdomb villages in Felsoszölnök. This is to be achieved by a joint project that incorporates planning of the investment, development of the project proposal, realization of the investment and use of the constructed system. The objective of the project is to ensure the basis for a systematic, spatially and environmentally acceptable, compatible development of the border region through cross-border development projects and regional political support. Achievements: For the duration of the project, almost 120 kilometers of the biking route was traced from Mohacs to Barcs, passing through 34 cities and villages and mostly following the border along the Drava River. The route spans through two Southern Transdanubian counties and four micro-regions of the border area. Informational boards in four languages (Hungarian, Croatian, German and English) were placed in twenty settlements, containing texts, maps and photographs attracting attention to the lokal natural and cultural sites. The project also financed the training of two groups of 10 participants on natural and cultural attractions along the route, tour guiding, traffic regulations and the basics of tourism. The promotion of the project was implemented through printed publications, DVDs and maps published in a total of 25,000 copies, as well as a website in three languages offering up-to-date informationabout offered tours.
