Fairy-Tales through LifeTime

The youth exchange takes place in village Koblevo, Ukraine on 06-15 July 2013 (10 days). The theme of the youth exchange is relations between generations and values behind them through exploration of fairy-tales from 4 countries with different cultures. The objectives are: to promote cooperation between generations through analyzing national fairy-tales by youth from Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Azerbaijan and comparing them to real life situation in these countries; to promote inclusion of youth from orphanages, fostered and deprived families. The participants of the youth exchange are 7 young people (13-16 y. o.) from fostered families, orphanages and deprived families and 3 group leaders from each country. The methodology is based on the methods of experiential, non-formal learning and participatory approach. The methods used are: integration, team-building and trust building activities, role plays, intercultural learning activities, presentations, story-writing, theatre, make-up, setting scenery, costumes workshops; work in national groups for analyzing fairy-tales; creation of illustrations to fairy-tales as the result of analyze; work in mixed groups; creation of intercultural fairy-tale by participants. The product of the exchange will be staged fairy-tale created by the participants which will be presented to local community. The follow-up of the youth exchange is published compilation of fairy-tales selected and translated by participants together with the fairy-tale created by the participants; presentations of the project results in the local community by the project participants.
