Three institutions take part in the project called "Timber industry mobility in Turkey".
The Kaesz Gyula Timber Industry Vocational School trains carpenters, cabinetmakers and upholsterers, and also gives a vocational school degree, or a timber industry technician certificate.
IT, IT and language, and economics, where students aqcuire knowledge for their subsequent qualifications (e.g. software developer, administrator in finance and accounting), as well as for their highschool studies.
BILECIK IL MILLI EGITIM MUDURLUGU is the education directorate of Bilecik town, that unites and coordinates the towns' and countys' secondary education programs, and is responsible for the continuous development of the training programs. It has a contact to all training institutes and companies of the town and county. They agreed to organise "job shadowing" visits to training institutes and producers in the timber industry.
The third institute is Bozüyük Teknik ve Endüstri Meslek Lisesi (Vocational School for Ingeneering and Industry of Bozüyük), that organises cabinetmaker and designer in timber industry trainings. They've already received trainees from the sector in their well-equipped workshop thanks to Ldv Mobility in the past. This time, they continue the tradition thanks to the Erasmus+ program. The participants will take part in the theoratical classes and workshops of the graduate class.
The participants of the project are the graduate students of the cabinatmaker-training program of the Kaesz Gyula Timber Industry Vocational School (8 participants), and an accompaniing teacher. The program of the project was accomodated in accordance with our partners to the training needs of the participants. For this reason, 100% of the training will be recognised, as equal to the compulsory summer practice.
The professional goal of the project is for our students to take an insight into the turkisch timber-industry, get to know its particularities, its' training system and meet the educational and indaustrial participants of the sector through visits in training institutes and companies of the sector. They will also have the possibility to ameliorate their skills in technical drawing, and in manual and mechanical technologies in the timber industry. other goal of the project is to develop the linguistic and social skills of the participants.
Additionally, our accompanying teacher will meet new pedagogical methods, technologies and possibilities of innovation in the curriculum that we could adapt to our training system.
The expected profit is that at the end of the project, thanks to their experience abroad, the acquired stable language knowledge, the grown intercultural tolerance, the more open-minded, selt-starting personality, the participants will succeed easier on the labour market, their chances of getting a job will rise.
Besides, thanks to the international experiences, our teacher will have the possibility to meet good routines in the curriculum and efficient pedagogical methods, that we could incorporate in our training system - this way, the quality of our training could improve. The success of our project could also stimulate other schools to apply for a project. In the long run the project could also start an extensive cooperation on a national and international level.
The main steps of the project are: signing the contracts, selecting and informing the participants, finalising the project programm, preparing the transfer, organising pre-seminars, accomplishing the training program, eveluating and publishing the results.
