The 28 States of the EU fully and firmly support Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU perspective to become a future member state, in lines with the EU Thessaloniki Declaration of 2003. The B&H’s future EU membership is based on the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the state. The EU has outlined strategy towards B&H in the European Council’s conclusions of March 2011 and the successive related conclusions. The citizens of B&H are motivation for the EU membership expecting to be beneficiaries of the country's EU membership. The civil society including NGOs, the academic and business communities, political parties, B&H’s institutions, and associations share general interest for the EU’s membership too. The process towards the EU membership is unfortunatelly slow from different reasons. To a certain level the process slowness is a reflection of the understanding and implementation of the accession process requirements on all different levels and institutions of the B&H’s society. The Module will be performed at the Faculty of Economics for its students. The invitations for free participation will be distributed at the University, in the business community and among other subjects and institutions. The lecturing with be supported by the focused debate topics. IT information and video sources will make Module’s activities attractive and better comprehended. The Module’s final part will be an open discussion on expectations and challenges of the EU accession. Participating students, business community and institutions’ representatives and others with interest in better understanding the EU working and impacts, will share practical experience and information about achievements or seat backs of the B&H’s ongoing accession.
