a) Marketing in the Real Estate Industry This mobility measure is directed at German apprentices in Berlin receiving dual vocational education and training as a qualified real estate management assistant. Twenty-five participants will attend a seminar called "Marketing in the Real Estate Industry" at the European College of Business and Management in London. The students will stay with their host families in London. During the first half of their three-week visit, all apprentices receive lessons focussing on the housing market of Great Britain in order to carry out their projects as well as to gain a wider understanding of marketing. Teachers also refer to the latest developments of Britain’s, particularly London’s, housing market. Participants form groups of two or three to work on a certain topic, which they have chosen before. During that time students work independently most of the time, the college offers assistance if necessary, e.g. providing literature, computer workstation and teachers’support. To fulfill the project’s requirements, students need to carry out interviews in companies, for example. At the end they will get a mark for their project which consists of a Powerpoint presentation and a ten-page homework. The homework assignment is to be handed in after their visit. Furhermore, they write a three-hour exam in the last week. The seminar is activity-oriented which will primarily focus on key competences such as the ability to work in a team, independent learning as well as verbal and non-verbal communications skills. Students mainly acquire proficiency in the English language and in dealing with foreign cultures. Besides, spending time abroad and the achievement of the certificate enhance their labor market position. After successfully completing the project, participants will receive the following certificates: - BTEC ( Certificate of the European College of Business and Management) - Certificate of the German-British Chamber of Commerce - Europass b) Tourism competence Comunication, Contact & Culture in Spain 2015 The mobility project is directed to the practical and theoretical training needs of travel agents who are part of the dual training system at OSZ Lotis in Berlin. Travel agents sell journeys to private or business travelers with domestic or international destinations. They also have to keep in touch with international partners. The mastering of foreign languages, experienced geographic insights of different countries and cultures, the ability for planning and organizing events or trips, the readiness to work relatively independent, with pleasure for team work and communication, as well as the readiness for making further individual education efforts, has a favorable effect on the touristic sales conversation and the integration of the trainee into the labor market. This is the starting point of the project in mind. During the tourism workshop the trainees shall learn several hard and soft skills in the tourism sector. The objectives are learning Spanish - in closed group with a three-week intensive course by 20 hours/week and to get to know the Spanish tourism market better. Therefore sightseeing day trips to touristic meaningful places have to be developed and carrying out by the trainees. Three enterprises of the tourism industry have to be visited and interviewed. Another important aim is the training of intercultural competence. Here the intensive contact with the Spanish neighborhood, the teaching of the Sevillana dance, the joint cooking experience of Spanish cuisine shall contribute to this objective. During the workshop the vocational school subject of "Projects & Exercises" shall be tested in an extracurricular way in Spain. This is a general lesson involving many subjects. Particularly the subjects of "Business Processes in Tourism", but also communication in a foreign language and IT are involved. All results of the above described activities have to be written down and presented to an audience at the end of the stay. When the participation has been successful all participants will obtain the foreign language certificate of the Colegio Maravillas in the different levels according to standards of the European reference framework for foreign languages achieved previously and presented by the Spanish board of tourism.
