TERMINÉ
Canfranc Foundation has been developing several programmes of European Voluntary Service in Aragon and La Rioja for ten years. Also during the vacation period they are made in different countries from Europe, Africa and China. On account of his experience our Foundation has become to develop SVE Project in 2016; just because it obtain the certification necessary for the reception, coordination and management of that project. There is one current project in which SVE Volunteers are engaged and is established by our organization. This one is mainly developed in the Canfranc Foundation’s Playground. All the activities made there are oriented towards youth at the risk of social exclusion, with the aim of breaking the cycle of poverty between parents and children. Through this programme, we carry out a comprehensive intervention by giving to children school reinforcement, non-formal education and free time in our Playroom, camps or city camps. Her task would be to welcome and coordinate youths (from 16 to 20 years old) who participate as volunteers in the programme. She also would make school reinforcement activities and ludic activities with our 52 beneficiaries of the programme (from 6 to 16 years old). Consolidated Social Voluntary Programmes of Canfranc Foundation are a great opportunity to welcome youths from other countries (from Europe or associated countries). This let them know how to manage and also they take an active part in helping disadvantaged minorities (immigrant children). In the morning she would work on different activities related with the Foundation young department. She would learn to manage the free time activities but when the playground didn’t work (holyday courses), she would be practising by establishing free time activities in a young association in Zaragoza. It is expected that “Face to face” will have a big impact not only in the volunteer who takes part in the activity from Profondo, but in the young volunteers from Canfranc Foundation and in the children at the risk of social exclusion from our Playroom. What is more, it probably have impact in the organizations involved in this project and young association in which she will be an instructor during the holyday courses .F2F has significant impact in strengthening of work capacity in 2 organizations from EU which extend their networking with new organizations and new countries. The person who participates in “Face to face” will have the opportunity to develop numerous skills and professional competence: • From her job in Canfranc Foundation Office, she will have the opportunity to use a foreign language, but also she will learn: teamwork, initiative, troubleshooting, time management, creativeness, etc. • From her job in Playroom, she will acquire global awareness, intercultural relationships, communication in foreign language, teamwork, resilience, etc. Some of the most important competences to develop will be social skills, which will be useful to get the children attention, motivation and coordination of young volunteers. Our volunteer will have wider knowledge about EU and the different opportunities provided to European Voluntary Service. After the realization of the project, her experience would be of value in telling all the advantages for youths in participating in EVS.This Project is also a great opportunity to develop personal and professional skills for Canfranc Foundation Young volunteers. Teamwork, communication in foreign language, hosting, knowledge about a different culture… are some of those personal and professional skills that they can assume by participating in the project. The involvement in this project of youth at the risk of social exclusion, who are participated on Educational Reinforcement in Playroom, is also an extra value to take contact with a participant from SVE. Besides it could enrich the project. The Project will give favourable impact both in organizations and in their young participants, who will experience the illusion to make similar projects in the future.Networking of these two European organizations (Canfranc Foundation and Profondo) would give young people the possibility of exchanges and organise new activities in new places. This possibility would help them to develop new skills or boost the old ones, as reflect of their daily work. Both participated organizations have contact with other youth organizations in their own countries. When the project in which they are involved was known with the results; they will be transmitted and spread among the population from Spain and Germany.
