Extraction, transmutation and utilization of metal compounds from waste

The soil of the agricultural land has the same characteristics on both sides of theriver Danube, i.e. it is silty soil and it has a significant shortage of copper and zinc. Both countries generate a huge amount of waste containing copper and zinc, thedisposal of which causes serious environmental problems. If the waste that wouldotherwise contaminate the environment is properly transformed, it can be turned intorecycled metal compounds that are highly useful for agriculture. Tests have shown thatmicroelement dung made of microelectronic waste generate very promising results.Scientists are using the grant to purchase modern laboratory equipment and thussupport the research related to these possibilities.
