Date du début: 1 mai 2016, Date de fin: 31 mars 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Youth Exchange "Expression is Empowerment" will take place between three partner organisations: ISKCON London (UK), Drustvo za Duso (Slovenia) and Avadhuta (Croatia) in Ljubljana, Slovenia on July 18 - July 24, 2016. The main aims of the project are to combat youth unemployment and foster positive experiences and interactions with the EU, through friendships and fun, and expression of their own individuality within the world they live in. Bringing together youth from three different countries aims to connect, inspire and create a transformative experience for everyone involved. Specifically through using the informal tools of music, art, culture, dance, and sport to showcase the youth's voice and expression in a united way for the public and for their own personal growth. Through expressing themselves they are connecting with their inner purpose and connecting with others in a tangible and important way. Creating a sacred space for the youth to find themselves, is a difficult yet rewarding task and will be the result of this Youth Exchange along with its objectives of:• One – Month “Empower Yourself Challenge” to participants of: drug and alcohol free. Will commence two weeks before the exchange, during the exchange, and one week after the exchange • Daily meditation in mornings and reflection time in evenings with group discussions• Cultural presentations and exploration• Private and public expression sessions aka "jam sessions"• Create a video at the finale of the event• Create organic, self-reflective expression and share with the world through street music/dance demonstration in ZagrebAs well as giving the skills, knowledge and attitudes of: -Knowledge of other youth projects, youth development in the EU, youth perspectives on world issues, on empowerment, and self-development-Skills in leadership, listening, resource base for youth development, self-reflection and development exercises-Attitudes of positive experiences with other youth from different socio-economic-social backgrounds, and connecting the countries by human experiences rather than by maps and country line distinctions, and a happy feeling free from any intoxication. The methodology behind this project is that the youth leaders themselves will lead the youth to success of this Youth Exchange. The philosophy behind the project is that when a young person find his/her own identity and purpose, their sense of belonging and commitment to their community grows exponentially. Giving the young person a space to do this personal growth, along with some helpful insight from expert trainers, and informal learning methods in music, art, sport, and dance, will aide it their development and future self-worth! The results of the project are to enable the partner organisations to build their youth leadership capacity, youthworker expertise and networking and capabilities in the Erasmus+ programme, as well as to spread the knowledge about the empowerment of youth as a means to help them, help themselves. The impact of the project include greater visibility of youth issues and concerns, and a further reach of Erasmus+ opportunities, of youth cultural competencies and soft skills toward employability, and greater inter-cultural understanding between EU nations. The Erasmus+ logo and aims will be showcased our youth "Jam session" activities in the city centres of Ljubljana and Zagreb as well as in the youth's local communities. This will aide in the inclusive and dynamic view of the Erasmus+ youth programmes to a larger audience. The long term benefits of this project include: happy, healthy adults who use their expression as their own personal development and growth, who can share and who inspire others to do the same across the EU. Also, the capacity building of youth leaders, youthworkers and a stronger youth support network that envisions a EU full of inspired youth, who want to give back to their communities in real, sustainable and encouraging ways.
