Nowadays people more and more talk about two major problems: firstly, youngsters spend a lot of time using mobile phones, playing games, losing touch of real social interaction, effective use of technology, as well as opportunities to spend free time in fresh air; secondly people every day produce a lot of waste that goes into the forests, rivers and in the air. This is a serious challenge which urgently asks for a solution, because otherwise our planet's nature in future can be destroyed completely.These are questions that youngsters from Latvia, Lithuania and Poland find important. It is the reason why they want to be active and to learn spend their time effectively by learning a lot of new experiences and getting to know new friends. Youngsters want to get additional comprehension of environmental problems and converse their experience and ideas with representatives from other countries.The aim of this project is to achieve comprehension about social responsibility about environment and to encourage others to think about mentioned issues.To realize this aim, the project will focus on a variety of issues:- During the project is planned youth exchange, which will take place in Poland, in Gorce National park (Gorczański Park Narodowy). Youngsters and leaders will live in the camping, which is located in the park territory and will learn to understand the nature. To do this successfully Gorce nature park employees will be involved in the project as guest experts. They will lead workshops about nature.- During the project participants will share their perspective on environmental themes, r as well as present one another with their own culture, promoting dialogue and cooperation between young people in different countries;- During the project participants will use photo cameras to capture a variety of insights, they will learn in nature. They will place their photos in their social networks to share their experiences with others;- During the project youngsters will learn a variety of touristic activities in the open air, such as the use of a rope in different type of team works. These activities will encourage participants to improve their cooperation skills;- To make it known in wider public, in the end of the project, participants will present stands of captured photos from the project to the local community as well as different touristic activities for local Polish youngsters in the willage of Niedzwiedz where the project will take place.The project will involve 30 participants and 4 leaders from three European countries - Latvian Poland and Lithuania. Participants will be youngsters between age of 13-18, who are interested in environmental issues and active lifestyle in an outdoor environment.As a result of the project leaders and participants will gain both new knowledge and skills.- Nature preservation will be discussed. The exchange will take place in Gorce National Park, where the participants will explore the nature in order to understand the issues related to its protection;- During the exchange young people will carry out a variety of team-building activities, group work, they will learn the techniques of tourism in the open air. These activities will focus to improve cooperation;- Participants and leaders of the project will communicate in English and improve their language skills;- Cultural evenings and mutual interaction will promote intercultural dialogue;- During the project participants will capture nature with their photo cameras, upload pictures on the internet and create description about them. It will improve participants’ technological skills and media literacy;- Organizations involved in the project will gain new experience in collaboration and project realization that will further the project implementation skills in the future.Long-term benefit of the project is that the participants will develop their social responsibility to the environment, resulting in a deeper apprehension of nature preservation issues. The project may encourage the participants to acquire new knowledge on the topic after its implementation and to be a small, but essential contribution to environmental issues, which is important Europe-wide.The project will expand the participants’ view of the world. The project will encourage participants to get to know new, unknown places and people in the future. The project can create a lasting impression on participants' view of the world. It will make youngsters to be more tolerant and more open. The main benefit of the project will be young, tolerant, culturally richer and socially more proficient European citizens.
