The project "Explore together" is a long-term European Voluntary Service project under the EU program "Erasmus +". Project is coordinated and hosted by Gulbene 1st pre-school from Latvia. The project involves volunteer from Spain - a girl with fewer opportunities.Project duration is 15 months, from 1 July 2016 to 30 September 2017. Volunteering activities take place within 10 months from 1 September 2016 until 30 June 2017.The project aim is to create a supportive environment for the volunteer's personal and professional growth, making it possible to take part and organize the wide range of activities as well as to promote the idea of voluntary work at the same time among local residents.The project will improve volunteer's and teachers' competences and will promote their participation in social processes. Volunteer will work with children through sports, dance, music and creative activities. The pre-scool is flexible and open to different creative ideas. Volunteer work is in cooperation with the teachers and opens up numerous possibilities for voluntary initiatives. The project is an excellent opportunity to achieve volunteer's dream to work in pre-school education, gaining real work experience and increasing her competitiveness in the labor market.The project theme is creativity and culture in the education institution. These two areas are very related to each other and perfectly complements. In educational institution which implements the official education program new breezes can arrive through another culture and a different personality (and today with a classic education is not enough, it needs new methods and approaches). And volunteer can develop her skills through creative expression and non-formal methods and children are very grateful audience for this.
