EXPLORE Energy Virtual Campus
Date du début: 1 oct. 2010,

Access to clean, affordable energy and water, and appropriate food, all put in a humanitarian, social and environmental context, are the three main pillars of sustainable development. To overcome social injustices in these three areas, education at all levels is a key element. The EXPLORE Energy Virtual Campus takes us, in an on-line self-approaching learning experience through unlimited higher educational values, on the pathway to a future sustainable energy society. This energy learning pathway starts at the basic Bachelor engineering degree and guides us through the necessary skills to solve tomorrow's challenges with today's engineering tools, and uses our innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities to create new energy values for the future of humanity.EXPLORE Energy is built up around the concept "learning anywhere any time", which indicates that the student/user/reader does not have to be physically (or "geographically") re-located in order to participate in the various educational programs offered. EXPLORE Energy furthermore offers sophisticated tools for peer communication as well as towards other stakeholders. Among other tools incorporated, the "virtual incubator" in which partners can interact towards creation for new business ideas and the "virtual conference room", can be mentioned. However, as physical mobility is also of high importance for intercultural and social aspects, as well as also for technical content in some educational programs, EXPLORE Energy has also a significant Associated Partnership with educational programs in which students have to physically participate at specific locations at specific times. All these Associated Educational Programs use "e-learning" as a major part of the education, whereas they have specific reasons for requiring physical presence in the courses. There is a wide range of stakeholders in the global project "EXPLORE Energy". In the sense that "we're all students" everyone is a beneficiary.
