Date du début: 1 août 2015, Date de fin: 1 févr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project “Explore "another world" with EVS” will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia. The HO is SPOSA (Spoločnost na pomoc osobam s autizmom), which is a parental non-governmental organization for families with children with autism. SPOSA´s goal is to increase the daily life quality of the children with autism. The duration of service of the volunteers will be 12 months. The volunteers will assist the professional workers in the therapy work. The main activities in SPOSA are teaching and developing daily life skills like, cleaning, cooking, shopping, handcrafting and activities outside of SPOSA as well. Furthermore, the organization also organizes special events, like weekend trips, summer camps, different workshops, etc. Volunteers will take a part in all these activities and will have a chance to realize their own ideas. Furthermore, volunteers will sometimes go with children to the school and help them to be involved in learning process. During EVS, the volunteer will get experience of working with young people with autism, improve their intercultural skills and become more tolerant and patient for new environment. The project will fight against prejudices in all countries, the sending and hosting. The working together with people from the Eastern partnership countries is a special situation for our country and there are still a lot of prejudices to fight against. The work with the volunteers will help to increase the tolerance and acceptance between cultures, not only in our organization, but also in the home of volunteers and in their future working places, families etc. The same is valid for Slovakia. Not only in our organization and our partners organizations, but also in the families we are working with, the social groups of the volunteers here in Slovakia and in the organizations working together with SPOSA, we expect decreasing of the prejudices.
