Nevertheless, we wanted to upgrade the stay by involving the elements of personal development, workshops focused on comfortable survival in nature - the idea came from German partners during the pilot stay. In this project, we provided a space for young people to compare the pros and cons of living in today's civilized society with the age long time ago ("Middle Ages"), realize the importance of nature and life in accordance with it. Young people, of course, contributed by themselves to the maintenance work at the castle Helfenburk. Simple job tasks were drawn up by experts from the civic association Hrádek which ensures its long-term maintenance. A typical day consisted from the morning young peoples mintenance work at the castle and in the afternoons there were activities in which young people entered according to their interest in it. It were workshops of thematic various kinds, short trips, games, etc.. Everything was be framed by joint activities, from energizeers to games on developing cooperation. The main objectives of the project included: - Young people will compare by their own experience the positives and negatives of living in a civilized society and in primitive conditions. - Young people will be involved in the maintenance of the Helfenburk. After the end of the exchange the Helfenburk castle and neighbourhood was thanks to the intervention of youth in better condition, and during the process of maintaining the castle, participants have learnt how to correctly use simple tools and plan things well and cooperate.
