With this project the two organisations re-establish an old partnership which has rested in recent years. Two study visits in Vienna and Helsinki (not EU funded) in 2014 and 2015 refreshed knowledge and identified the issues which are imminent. One of those issues is mobile (detached) youthwork, which is of great importance in Vienna but poorly developed in Helsinki. Two youth worker from Helsinki will spend one full working week in Vienna, to examine the mobile/detached youth work approach here. Specifically there will be a focus on reachability and inclusion of disadvantages young people – more specifically NEETS) using this methodology. Vienna has a Europe wide leading role with this approach, among other reasons because detached youth work is standard and not exception and by being carried out via the youth department and not social welfare it is rather an educational than a social approach. Methodology of this project will be on one hand participatory observation, every one of the Finish colleagues will be detached to one detached youth work unit for a week, on the other hand there will be inputs by presentation and discussion. Mid-term this project shall intensify cooperation also about other issues via further Job shadowing and seminars and also inspire youth worker to youth exchange projects with their youngsters
