Mladiinfo will host four long term EVS volunteers from Georgia, Macedonia, Tunisia and Turkey in Bratislava for a 12 months period. Two volunteers from Tunisia and Turkey have already been selected. Two volunteers from Georgia and Macedonia will be selected in later stage of the project. All involved volunteers will have similar needs for helping others, for new experiences, learning or improving foreign languages, living abroad, managing their own finances and lives, meeting new people, experiences other cultures and broadening their horizons about life and the world. The objectives of the project are centered on the volunteers learning process, on enhancing their skills, improving their competences and broadening their knowledge. Volunteers will help at Mladiinfo office in Bratislava, Mlynská dolina and will be involved in activities in cooperation with 4 partner NGOs in Bratislava. Around 45% of volunteers time will be spend in the Mladiinfo office, 45% in other partner NGOs in Bratislava and 10% in participation in local evens like job fairs, discussions, NGOs and youth events. Through non-formal learning methods, peer learning, learning by doing, mentoring and couching they will get a chance to learn about the PR of NGOs, website management, web-content editing, project management, youth work and will try activities with pupils, kids and students like discussions, presentations, workshops, games and similar. The volunteers will also benefit from working in an international team, and living in a foreign country. The main impact on the volunteers will be acquisition of new competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that we expect will lead to increasing their employability. The expected impacts on Mladiinfo is linked with the work that volunteers would do, with new projects, with increasing number of young people interested in non-formal education and international mobilities and increasing number of visitors on website and social media channels. Through the project Mladiinfo will get more valuable experience in working with EVS volunteers and expect to strengthen its position as a hosting and coordinating organisation in Bratislava and Slovakia with satisfied volunteers and high quality projects. We expect long lasting friendships and new initiatives created jointly by EVS and local volunteers with synergistic effect. Bratislava as a city offers great amount of opportunities to learn something new every day, to try new activities, to get involved in new situations and to help other people. We have clearly seen this in 2014 and 2015 hosing projects on which we are basing our experience.
