EVS Lower Austria - third edition includes two EVS Long Term activities. The hosting organisations are the youth house stift göttweiga and the Kolpinghaus Mistelbach (Wohn- und Werkstätte) Both organisations are well exprienced in hosting evs volunteers. The staff of the host organisations has well grounded know how in support of an evs volunteer. The jugend:info NÖ is responsible for the coordination of both activities. There is a long relation ship between the CO and the hosting organisations. Also the italien sending organisation JOINT is a long partner. The spanish organisation is a new partner. During the evs the volunteer will have following tasks: Jugendhaus Stift Göttweig: support our team by their daily work (administrative work, planing events, clarify special needs for different groups like special diet, book different excursions for youth groups,...) ) Care for host groups (organise accomodation, support by arrival and departure of the youth groups), beeing available for questions, make copies, organize different excursions - a team member will help the volunteer ) Plan and organise own ideas like different events (for example workshops about the own home country, outdoor activities,...) ) Assist our staff by different activities for example eduactional activities, outdoor activities (discover the forest, "spooky night in the monastery - it´s a special project for kids, "night of the 1000candles",...) ) create flyers, posters, invitiations for different events ) participation by several projects like language training courses for youngsters during the summer months, the social project "72 Stunden ohne Kompromiss" , "night of the 1000 candles",... the volunteer will support the team to arrange the projects,... )be active by regular team meetings, events ) arrange areas for different meetings, events ) administrative work (telephone calls, arrange accomodations for youth groups,...) Kolpinghaus Mistelbach: olunteer tasks: The volunteer (he or she) should be involved in the daily work. He/she should support our team, talk with the inhabitants, care for them, listen to them, help them by their daily activities. The volunteer cook with the handicapped persons (for example traditional meals from the home country) The volunteer also has the possibility to plan and organise own projects for example reading lessons, football games or other activities. The volunteer should have some different tasks, like: - To talk and support the inhabitants - To take care for them (support them by their daily works like houseworks,…) - To assist the statt members by their daily work - Beeing available for questions and problems - Inform the inhabitants about the own country (tadtions, culutre, tadtional meals, music, customs,…) Both activities have a duration of 12 months - youth house göttweig will start in january 2015 and the evs in mistelbach will start in march 2015
