We, VEDISCHER TEMPEL UND KUHSCHUTZ e.V., would like to invite a volunteer for a year to our premises, to share our knowledge and experience and to benefit from the new thoughts and approaches of a new person. Volunteer will be able to enjoy a unique environment while broadening his/her horizons, making new friendships and experiencing different cultures.With us volunteers can spend time in an eco-friendly farm with and a community of some 30 members (singles and families) living a simple life in harmony with nature. Rising awareness about healthy living, enhancing international dialogue, providing intercultural education, learning about spiritual life, ecology and self-sustainability. Volunteers will be able to gain knowledge and experience through the personal association with people from different cultural backgrounds. The weekly schedule is flexible and will be finally adjusted with the volunteers, taking into account suggested activities and their learning needs. Each volunteer will have the opportunity to develop their own project and or activities within our organisation or on their own. Also they will have local language teacher so that they can learn German language.An important asset would be a general interest in sustainable food, plant-based cooking and environmental and health issues, a person who feels that he want to learn and to help people and our planet.Volunteers will find with us a perfect context to increase their awareness on these topics by being actively involvedin several activities and having the opportunity to gain confidence with our working principles and possibly feeling proud of theircontribution.Our partnership with the organisation from Finland, KVT - The Finnish branch of Service Civil International, is new, and we see it to be very productive and valuable. Our partner has vast experience in sending and accepting volunteers, they share our core values of caring about the environment, promoting intercultural dialogue, sustainable living. We are interested in the work they do with the asylum seeking people and immigrants and would love to include this into our practice. Additionally we will be looking forward to send volunteers back to Finland with the help of our partner organisation, to give them possibility to become European citizens in all its width, getting to know different countries and cultures.Volunteering young people will learn to look outside their own cultural framework by working for one year in a totally different setting.
