Date du début: 1 mars 2015, Date de fin: 28 févr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Due to our experience in mobility projects and vocational education in Germany it became obvious to us that non-Abitur and non-university alumni are given less chances to engage socially within the framework of European Voluntary Service programme. The Project tries to fill out this shortage and focuses on providing long-term volunteering opportunities mainly for young people with vocational education and strengthens transnational ties between civic society of western, central, eastern and southern Europe. Project participants will commit to long-term activities supporting their hosting organisations with daily tasks such as organising various workshops for people with disabilities, children, refugees, local communities and adults, participating in actions and discussions regarding civic education, global issues, sustainable development, supporting communication via social media, webpages etc. They will improve transversal skills - critical thinking, creativity, pro-active approach and learn in a multicultural surrounding, developing respect towrads differenciated European societies and evoking the feeling of being a truly European citizen. Participants will gain knowledge about European programmes, history, culture of a hosting country and proffession-related skills that will support their future career on a highly competitive labour market. The GEB will send abroad 27 youg people from Germany to experience non-formal and informal learning schemes. They will be able to leave a positive imprint among people with difficulties as well as partner organisations abroad and gain motivation to change their surrounding by an open-minded attitude back home. The project envisions regular dissemination activities directed at young people with different educational and social background, that is why participants who will finish this project will be enhanced to become active multipliers at the local level and bring about awareness of the benefits European mobility programmes can offer to young people that often struggle due to social exclusion.
