Date du début: 1 janv. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project consists of a long-term European voluntary service activity, involving 2 volunteers from Turkey that will be hosted in Kalamata, Greece, from the 1st of February 2016 to the 23rd of January 2017.Coordinating and sending organisation in this project is Istanbul Kolektif Sanatlar Kultur Dernegi and hosting organisation is K.A.NE. Social Youth Development.Throughout the project, a variety of methods will be used, based on non-formal and informal learning and adapted to the needs and competences of each volunteer (experiential learning, peer-to-peer, group discussions, workshops, etc). The daily programme has been built based on the learning outcomes of volunteers. The main objective is the activation of young people, enhancing their willingness to learn and develop certain skills. The young volunteers will undertake activities to promote the concept of volunteering, EVS and other European mobility programs both in the info-point located in the Youth Centre of Kalamata, and during external actions in the city (visits to schools , informative events, participation in exhibitions and conferences, etc.). We expect this project to have a great impact for the volunteers, the local community and the organizations involved, bringing to them new visions, ideas and experiences, and supporting the development of skills and competences, not only by the volunteers, but also by the local people they will come into contact with and the responsible staff of the organizations involved. Finally, one of the main aims of this project is to promote Youth Work and youth activation and, by disseminating widely the results of the project, we hope to contribute to the development and the improvement of Youth Work and youth work activities Europe-wide, as well to the promotion of the significance of non-formal learning as a tool for lifelong learning and for the inclusion of and provision of opportunities to people with fewer opportunities.
