Project also develops competences of Youth workers in the area of guiding youngsters coming from different cultural background and International cooperation. The project activities include regular PR among wide public towards spreading knowledge of socio-cultural differences and promoting the programme Erasmus+.The project is located in North Bohemia, a part of the Czech Republic facing racism, prejudice and xenophobia. The town of Ceska Lipa currently having 7 socially excluded areas (2015), a rise from previous only 2 (2006).The project involves 6 partners from 6 different countries (2 EU, 4 non-EU). The EVS participants will regularly carry out weekly activities with about 40 youngters, clients of the organisation Farni charita Ceska Lipa, and about 400 youngsters weekly from wide public, students of local school, visitors to afternoon clubs. The non-formal educational activities will involve multicultural issues including the issue of refigees and immigrants, foreign language developmental activities, art/craft activities to develop youngsters´ creativity and physical outdoor activities to develop youngsters´s physical competences. Further, EVS participants will manage workshops on multicultural topics and the topic of employability. Also, regular PR activities involving i-media as well as printed press will weekly inform the wide public about the outcomes of the project as well as about the multicultural issues raising awareness of socio-cultural differences and promoting the Erasmus+ programme. Three large scale PR events will be carried out in the course of the project. The project aims at having direct long term impact on involved youngsters and EVS participants, further the impact on the local community, hopefully fighting the prejudice, decreasing xenophobia, raising awareness of multiculturality, raising competences in foreign languages, promoting the Erasmus+ programme and developing also all Youth workers involved in the project. As our current EVS project involves weekly bout 40 extremely disadvantaged children aged 4-15 (Romas, victims of domestic violence, children from extremely disfunctioning families having very poor even elementary competences), over 400 local youngsters aged 7-18, 10 different local schools and altogether over 35 youth workers and the demand is still raising we expect at least the same numbers for the upcoming project A.I.M. to continue the work the present project started. Current EVS project is very first project in our region, where Erasmus+ was unknown. Now, after 3 months of the first EVS project, the outcomes are amazing and the number of Youth involved is great. We believe our next project A.I.M. can continue and even reach further, to rural areas surrounding the town of Ceska Lipa, in longer term raise awareness of the EU approach, Erasmus+ programme, fight with prejudice, raise multicultural understanding and support the development of local youngsters who have almost no chance to meet with different cultures and develop their competences.
