During 12 months, 9 young people from program and partner countries worked as EVS volunteers in two host organizations in Poland : • "Adults for Children" Association from Sępólno Krajeńskie (January 2015 - January 2016: volunteers from Italy, Greece and Romania, and in April 2015 - April 2016: volunteers from Italy, Moldova and Armenia); • Socially Active Association in Więcbork (March 2015 - March 2016: volunteers from Portugal , Ukraine and Turkey). By working with different groups of people (toddlers, kids, school children and youth, adults with disabilities, the elderly) in institutions run by the host organizations, living in another country, in another reality, volunteers have gained valuable life experiences and professional competencies which will help them to define their future career and life path. By organizing events for the local community in small Polish towns (happenings, exhibitions, meetings with youth), volunteers were promoting active participation in social life, European citizenship but also the potential of EU programs such as Erasmus +. Work in an international group, the implementation of volunteers’ original ideas, the ability to influence their own lives and the lives of other people, activities targeted at groups of different age and finally contact with a completely different culture, will have a positive impact on the future lives of volunteers arousing in them a sense of their possibilities, creativity and entrepreneurship. Project title: "EVS : 50 - 4 - 10" (50 volunteers for the 10th anniversary) was to emphasize our ten years of experience in EVS projects and the fact of hosting 50 volunteers, on the other hand is going to open the door of huge opportunities for next young, brave and creative volunteers. Right here, in small Polish towns.
