Krušnohorský vzdělávací a okrašlovací spolek decided to implement project European Vocational Internships in order to support and enlarge practical knowledge of learners of vocational schools and increase of probability of their future success on the labour market in the CR and possibly in the EU as well. The other target is to make the studies more attractive to learners, improve the knowledge of foreign languages and cultural knowledge, gaining of independence of learners and increase of their self-confidence. The project is dedicated to learners of graduation fields of vocational schools. At each the four internship will participate 6 learners and 1 accompanying person, each internship will last 2 weeks. The participants will be selected from learners of second and third grades. From Obchodní akademie a Střední odborná škola zemědělská a ekologická, Žatec, field Agriculture business, the learners will work in garden centres in Great Britain and in Sicily. From Euroškola Česká Lípa, field Hotel management and Tourism the learners will attend an internship in Spain where they will practice in hotel complexes and for the field Economic and services the learners will practice in Great Britain in companies focused on administration, economy and IT. For all internships will be provided a detailed work programme for the entire time of the internship. Krušnohorský vzdělávací a okrašlovací spolek decided for the first time in this project to apply the ECVET system, for the internship in Great Britain will be used a developed learning unit for gardening. Transport to all destinations is planned by plane. Accommodation of participants will be provided in apartments with provided catering close by the work placements. For each participant will be provided accommodation, catering, local transport, travel insurance, transport form and to airport and cultural activities. Woking language will be English and in Spain Spanish. The participants will attend a vocational, cultural and psychological course and a shortened language course before they leave for the internships. During the stays the participants will have a chance to see the history of each country and visit local historic sights. Organisation of the internships will be provided by Krušnohorský vzdělávací a okrašlovací spolek in cooperation with the sending vocational schools and partnership organisations. The schools will select the participants, will provide language courses and preparation of necessary documents for the internship including the follow-up evaluation and dissemination of the project. Partnership organisations will provide the work placements and all other necessary activities for the stays of participants. The major expected contribution of this project is gaining of valuable practice of learners of vocational schools in fields they study at schools and enlargement of their vocational and general language knowledge and interest in more intensive studies of foreign languages, foreign practices and better employment chances on the labour market not only within our country but also in border areas or directly on foreign labour market.
