Европейските стандарти в обучението чрез работа
Date du début: 1 juil. 2015,

The project “European Standards in the Work-Based Learning” will be implemented in cooperation between the following three parties: Nikola Dimov Vocational School for Tourism and Food Processing Technology (PGTHT) in Pirdop city, the company Vitalis, located in Schkeuditz, Germany and Braga Mobility Open, located in Braga, Portugal. The project aims to provide professional training to school staff and internships for students in the restaurant and business administration sectors. The main objectives of the project are to give insights into the dual educational system in Germany, Portugal, and possibly be able to apply it into the Bulgarian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, to improve the qualifications of the school staff as well as the skills and competences of the students through internships in real working environments.
Out of the representatives of the school board as well as teachers in the vocational subjects, eight staff members will take part in the mobility project for staff. 24 students from 10th to 12th grade, specializing in Catering and Business Administration accompanied by 4 teachers will participate in the mobility programme for learners. The participants will form two groups of staff and students; one of the groups will be trained in Schkeuditz, Germany and the other one in Braga, Portugal. PGTHT’s decision to carry out two mobility programmes at the same time in two European countries aims to introduce us to the different approaches and standards in applying the work-based learning. Germany is a recognized leader in the dual vocational system and has an approved model to effectively apply it. Portugal also integrates the work-based learning in its vocational education system and has shown a vast progress in the recent years. PGTHT chose Vitalis in Germany and Portugal’s Braga Mobility Open as partnering organisations due to their longstanding experience in organising and carrying out training mobility projects and their clear commitments to carrying out the project in a professional and high-quality manner. Observations and exchange of experiences with vocational high-schools and partnering companies in the restaurant business and business administration sectors working with the dual system will be carried out as part of the school staff’s training. Students will be provided with real working experience in hotels, restaurants, tourist agencies and company offices with the positions of “cook”, “waiter/waitress”, “barman/barmaid”, office assistant”, “administrator”.
The methodology of project implementation is systematic, expedient, effective, measurable and transparent in implementing each of the project stages – organization and management of the project activities, selection, preparation and carrying out of the mobility, monitoring, assessment, range, impact and sustainability of the outcomes. At the end of the mobility programme, expected outcomes of the project’s participants are to show tangible progress in terms of professional skills and competences, personal satisfaction and increased motivation to learn and grow in their career. Germany and Portugal’s experience with dual education will be integrated in our school’s development strategy. We will be applying more flexible methods for partnership with businesses to ensure high-quality practical training in real working environments and employment. The results achieved during the work-based learning will have a sustainable and broad impact on the target groups and all of the stakeholders in the VET system – vocational schools, students, parents, businesses, professional associations, State institutions and the citizens. In the long run, this will enable a smooth introduction and transition to dual education in the VET system in Bulgaria in compliance with the European standards.
