EuroVision - Museums Exhibiting Europe
Date du début: 1 nov. 2012,

The “Eurovision - Museums exhibit Europe“ (EMEE) project explores an innovative interdisciplinary approach for national and regional museums to re-interpret their objects in a broader context of European history. The instrumentarium necessary for this is developed by an international, trans-sectoral culture network and presented to the visitor in the "Eurovision Lab." “One Object – Many Visions – Eurovisions”.The Europeanisation of the contentual object presentation also involves a multi-perspective and synaesthetic way of presenting that invites the visitor to actively participate in the museum and takes down barriers between the museum and (non)-visitor groups. The Eurovision Lab. thereby reacts to European societies’ cultural diversity and makes the museum a site of intercultural dialogue. The Eurovision Lab. is experimental in nature and is taking place in all partner institutions. It involves a variety of different activities with public appeal (e.g. exhibition projects, cultural performances) which put into practice the concept of “change of perspective” (COP) for Europeanisation of museum work with its three components: 1. In the object presentation several semantic levels (regional, national, European) are layered on top of each other in order to question one-dimensional patterns of meaning. 2. Museum experts take up the visitor’s perspective and open up ways of asserting the diversity of perspectives, the cultural heterogenity and the creative potential of amateurs in museum work. 3. After all, COP is achieved by changing the contexts of the objects by means of their international exchange and by ensuring mobility of the cultural workers involved in order to overcome the narrowness of national perspectives. The project work has three phases: Starting with the collaborative conception of COP tool kits via the concretisation in exemplary modules towards the implementation of the Eurovision Lab. and the conception of trainings courses.
