Rechercher des projets européens

EUROVERSITY
Date du début: 1 déc. 2011,

This network brings together eighteen European partners (and a partner from Israel) in the exploration and collection of good practice with respect to teaching and learning within virtual worlds. The network consist of partners with substantial experience of the use of 2D/3D virtual worlds in learning and teaching contexts (in European projects such as AVALON, AVATAR, START, LANCELOT and NIFLAR) and a smaller number of partners with limited experience who wish to apply the experiences of the network to the design and construction of new courses within virtual worlds in their own contexts. The overall aim is to develop and evaluate a good practice framework for courses delivered in virtual environments across a range of disciplines, nations, and contexts. The network will explore, extend and facilitate transferral of core knowledge across all partners involved and all associated organisations that form part of the project network. Over the duration of the project an online repository of tools, documents and experiential information (in the form of a video data bank) will be collected and publicly made available. These materials will be transformed through analysis into a draft good practice framework. This good practice framework will then be evaluated in contexts, such as: to support digital design and language learning at the University of Hull; to support the delivery of Sami, a threatened indigenous language at Umeå University; and in pan-European language courses including teacher training courses. The short term impact is to exploit existing resources and knowledge from past as well as ongoing projects the consortium partners are associated with. The long term expected impact is to start to lay the ground work for a virtual pan-European cross-educational platform and virtual pan-European courses.
