EUROSA+: Europe & South Africa Partnership for Human Development
Date du début: 15 juil. 2013,

EUROSA+ (Europe & South Africa Partnership for Human Development) is a structured and institutionally embedded mobility project involving 9 European, 10 South African and 6 associated partners, aiming to promote mobility activities for South African and European individuals at master, PhD and staff level. The diverse, but complementary EUROSA+ partnership is dedicated to implement a well-functioning mobility scheme taking into account the capacity, expertise and the specific needs of the partner universities. The mobility scheme focuses on master, PhD and staff exchange and gives special attention to historically disadvantaged and deprived individuals. A total of 96 scholarships will be awarded to students and staff to spend a study and/or research period in one of the renowned EUROSA+ partner universities in Europe and South Africa. Master students will attend specialized courses while simultaneously being introduced to new methods of teaching and learning. PhD students will have the opportunity to specialize in a particular research field in internationally renowned PhD programmes and research units. Staff (academic and administrative) will have the opportunity to get training, do research and/or teach. All EUROSA+ scholarship holders will have the chance to gain expertise in a specific field of their interest which answers to their needs and will strengthen their employability. Additionally, the scholarship will give them the unique opportunity to experience a different culture and meet new people which will, in turn, add to their personal development. The strength of the EUROSA+ project lies within the rigorous attention to quality and to the effective matching of needs, potential and capacity of all actors involved. EUROSA+ stimulates institutional cooperation among its partners, develops higher education teaching and learning capacities on an international level and adds to the management capacity building of all partner universities.
