Europese input in de school
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The St. Jozefsschool is situated in the wide periphery around Brussels, near Vilvoorde . The school has 241 pupils. In recent years, we knew in the school a considerable pupils growth. The student population has changed a lot. Metropolitan problems as deprivation and the non-native speakers are not unknown for us. Our school starts in the spring of 2015 with the construction of a new building . It is intended that the school grow to 360 students. These demographic and infrastructural changes make sure that the school stands for organizational and educational challenges. Through an Erasmus + project , we hope to raise the shared policy-making capacity in the school , we especially wish to increase the expertise of the care team (nursery and primary). We make the choice to let go teachers together because afterwards they come back with a more shared knowledge and experience . For further training the choice goes to professionalism in the field of media and on dealing with diversity in the classroom / school. Within a school environment with a growing group of disadvantaged pupils , who may or may not grow up in a different cultural environment , this choice is actually obvious . After the introduction of the new media curriculum , we need to consider how we can implement the goals, thinking about the limited financial resources of the school . The teachers are strongly looking at how to deal with non-native speaking kids . We recently started with classes of composite ages. It would be good that the zoco and the policy maker of the school learn more about diversity in education. The school also needs to think about how the school of tomorrow , with his schoolspecific characteristics may well rotate and how they can maintain or boost her quality. It is good to look over the wall and share ideas with colleagues about the school of the future . The school stand (just like many others) for educational challenges. We hope that the Erasmus + project can give us a helping hand!
