„Europejskie kompetencje szansą na sukces”

The aim of the project is to acquire vocational skills during students' trainings in firms working in the catering and hotel trade that cooperate with Vitalis and EME SL in Leipzig ( The Adler Hotel, The Royal International Hotel , The Regency Hotel, The Amadeo Hotel , The Admiral Hotel ) also in Valencia (The Las Arenas Hotel, The Best Western Albufera Hotel, The Villareal Hotel, The 50 Flats Hotel, The Ibis-Alfafar Hotel, The Vuelve Carolina Restaurant, El Poblet Restaurant, Secursal-Museo IVAM Restaurant, L’arrosseria Restaurant). A group of 64 students from the second and third class in the professions: catering nutrition technician and hotelling technician are going to be the participants of the project. The objective of the project is to raise the level and quality of teaching in Zespół Szkół Gastronomicznych in Gorzów Wielkopolski and profesional development of the participants thanks to acquisition of workshop experience abroad, mastering foreign language, broadening their world views, meeting the job culture in Germany and Spain which will increase their job mobility both at home and the EU job market. The participants of the training, during their stay abroad, will obtain specific job competence and will get a knowledge of another country which will let them shape their job career in a better way.
Furthermore,the participation in the project will enable the participants to obtain attractive knowledge, skills, job qualifications and methods of organising work so that they will be able to use them in Polish realities. It will also contribute to mastering professional foreign language by beneficiaries.
The participation in the training will improve a perspective of finding an attractive job after school and it will be a substantial support for the trainee to start his/her buisness after school.
The students will be taught according to German and Spanish methodology under the supervision of the experienced instructors from institutions cooperating with Vitalis i EME SL.
The students will perfect their skills in small groups (2-4people). The stay abroad and the job training will show the students different cultural conditions and the necessity to know a foreign language in European society.They are to learn the trade vocabulary in German and will use foreign language according to their individual needs. At the end of the training the students will receive references from their German and Spanish employers and certificates confirming achieved vocational and language skills. The participants will receive the document Europass Mobility and ECVET.
We, as the school organizing the training, would like to encourage the youth of our region to learn in subjects preparing to work with modern technologies. The aim of educating in ZSG is the preparation of an active mobile and effectively working employee that is an expert in hotelling and catering trade. International exchange also creates for students an opportunity to look for a job not only in their own country but also all over the world.
Within the framework of the project there have been planned: training 76 people in the course of language, culture, pedagogy lessons during 20 hours and 2 meetings with a school educator; taking part in cultural program during their stay; making a documentary from their stay; for weeks' vocational training abroad for 64 people; 4 training presentations made by the participants during workshops; a permament exhibition in school corridors of photos taken on practice; a presentation of the project course on the school website www and at the closing conference; a confirmation of the training in the form of 64 training books.
Moreover, the following have been included to the results: enhancing the motivation to learn; finding out new trends in catering and hotelling; increasing the level of education in the context of improving chances for getting positive result at the exam confirming vocational qualifications; creating job mobility;improving the ability to communicate in the foreign language with an emphasis on trade vocabulary;raising self-assessment,obtaining independence,confidence,open mindedness, tolerance.An expected result of the project will be to establish international cooperation and giving it an European dimension. In case of people responsible for implementing the project it will enable them to acquire new managing skills and creating a postive school image in Gorzów Wielkopolski and in the district lubuskie.
The time of the project is planned from VI.2015-VI.2017. The cooperating institutions are Zespół Szkół Gastronomicznych in Gorzów Wielkopolski im. Febronii Gajewskiej-Karamać and VITALIS Betreuungsgesellschaft für Modellprojekte mbH and EUROPA: MOVILIDAD ESTUDIANTIL (E.M.E.) SL.
