The project EUROPEAN INTERNSHIP - THE KEY TO PROFESSIONAL CAREER was carried out in The Technical College No.8 in Kielce. The participants were 16 students - 8 students studying for analyst technician and 8 students studying for environmental protection technician. The main aim of the project was personal and professional development of the students, developing their language skills, improving on the quality of the vocational education and as a result increasing students’ chances on the competitive job market. ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN DURING THE PROJECT 1. popularizing the information about the project and the recruitment of participants, 2. preparing the programme of a language and culture course, its conducting and evaluation, 3. preparing the programme of the internship in cooperation with an overseas partner, 4. arranging transport from Kielce to Ubeda in Spain and back to Kielce, 5. purchasing the group insurance valid during the internship, 6. preparing and signing financial contacts and contracts with the participants, 7. carrying out of the internship in accordance with the established programme, 8. preparing certificates and a document Europass Mobility for the participants, 9. submitting the final reports by the participants, 10. filling in the evaluation questionnaires by the participants and their parents, 11. preparing presentations and articles by the participants, 12. organizing meetings with the head teacher, teachers and students of The Technical College No.8 with the aim of evaluating the internship - sharing opinions and effects of the internship, pointing out advantages and drawbacks of participating in the project, 13. running a special board concerning the project as well as featuring the information about the project on school website, 14. producing the leaflet presenting the project, 15. working out the invitations and the programme of the conference summarizing the project, 16. organizing the conference popularizing the effects of the project, 17. accounting for the project. Participating in the project contributed to students gaining new knowledge, skills and qualifications required in the professions of technician analyst and environmental protection technician. The internship enabled the students to acquaint themselves with modern technology used in their professions. The students learnt about the European standards used in Spanish laboratory, they could also improve on their English and acquired the basic Spanish. The practical experience broadened during the internship will help the students enrich their own technique and do their future jobs professionally. Another benefit for students was the assimilation into the classes during the course, the internship and later preparations for various meetings and conferences. The project contributed also to students better preparing for an exam proving their qualifications. The project supported their individual abilities and language competence. Participating in the project raised the prestige of The Technical College No.8 as its beneficiary both among the students and their parents but also the candidates for our technical school. Due to carrying out subsequent projects the school will become more attractive to the potential students. According to the ranking published by PERSPEKTYWY magazine in 2016 our school was classified first in Kielce and ninth in our Region among technical colleges. The overseas partner Euromind will demonstrate the organizing internship in professions analyst technician and environmental protection technician. Both professions are taught in only few vocational schools in Poland .Due to popularizing the effects of the project, Euromind will be able to organize in the future internships in laboratories for students from other schools. Laboratory Agropar S.L. in Ubeda will be known not only for carrying out chemical and microbiological test but they will be also known for training Polish students.
