The project „European exchange of experiences - a chance for a modern vocational school” is an answer to the needs of the students and the teachers of Centrum Kształcenia Zawodowego i Ustawicznego Nr1 in Racibórz. The students are trained in the following specialities: nutrition and catering services technician, building construction technician, landscape architecture technician, analyst technician and hairdressing technician.There will be 36 third grade students who will take part in the project and will go in 2 groups of 18 students and their 2 teachers on a one month vocational training to Lisbon in Portugal and to Sicily, from 29.04- 27.05 2017 and from 30.09-28.10.2017 and 12 teachers who will go on job shadowing to Portugal from 11-17.06.2017.The length of the training results from the technical school curriculum in the 3rd grade and it is adequate to achieve the desired objectives.The Partnership Organizations are European Project Development from Portugal and A Rocca from Italy, which bounded themselves to the choice of host institutions in accordance with professional profile of the participants. The aim of the project is the improvement of quality of vocational training, the increase of educational and vocational mobility, and the growth of personal and linguistic competences of the participants.The project meets the needs of our school which are: the increase of the attractiveness, gaining prestige and the growth of competitiveness on the educational market, getting to know different educational systems and the exchange of experiences in the field of vocational trainingThe foreign apprenticeship will have a beneficial aspect which is establishing international cooperation that fulfills one of the European Development Plan objectives of our school.The detailed aims of the project are:-to provide the participants with the possibility of rising their vocational competences, gaining new abilities and qualifications-gaining valuable vocational experience, which will allow young people to become more competitive on a work market-comparing the training in our country and abroad, meeting new technologies and methods of work-rising the level of the linguistic skills and personal development-expanding their horizonsThe students and the teachers have been chosen through a clear and fair recruitment. All the participants will take part in a linguistic, pedagogical and cultural preparation.They will take part in a 30-hour English language course focused on vocational vocabulary, andThe students:-in 30-hour Portuguese/Italian language course with some elements of history, geography and culture of Portugal/Italy-10-hour course aimed at psychological preparation that would help the students find themselves in a foreign culture.The teachers:-10-hour cultural and substantive preparation concerning the geography, history and culture of Portugal and its educational system.The participants are provided with the flight, accommodation, food, insurance and cultural activities.The places of training have been chosen and the program of the training have been worked out together with our Partnership Organizations.Assessment will also be conducted during the whole project. It will check the level of the achieved aims of the program and define the week sides of the project. The effects of the foreign apprenticeship will be:1.Hard results:-the European Mobility document that confirms the participants’ vocational competences-a certificate issued by the foreign companies which will host the students-a certificate confirming preparation in the Erasmus+ program-English and Portuguese/Italian language courses certificates-vocational training grade2.Soft results:-growth of vocational qualifications -increase of the knowledge and the competences level during the exchange of experience-making the participants aware of the mobility benefits-shaping entrepreneurship and creativity-increase of motivation for learning foreign languages-increase of confidence, belief in your own possibilitiesThe results of the project for the school:-increase of quality and attractiveness of vocational training-gaining some experience by the headmaster and the accountant that will be useful for writing other projectsThere will be some dissemination activities aiming at sharing the results of the project:-organizing a summarizing conference during which the gastronomic technical school students will display the skills acquired during the training in a form of a treat, and the students from some other specialities and the teachers are going to prepare multimedia presentations with information about the experience from the mobility.-developing a set of recipes typical for the Sicilian region-during the Education Fair, School Open Days in our school a multimedia presentation will be shown and leaflets will be given out about our students' apprenticeships abroad.There will be articles in media and our school website.
