The Slovak Yoyo Association decided to continue with the project European Yoyo Conference held in Poland last year. The project aims to raise awareness among young people and the public about meaningful leisure opportunities of yoyoing , and to keep the enthusiasm of young people experienced in yoyoing through gaining skills in areas related to yoyo activities , and the acquisition of the methodology in the context of youth work. 34 young people who show interest in yoyoing regardless of their skills will participate in the project. Experienced and less experienced yoyers will participate and thus it will be possible to exchange their skills among themselves and learn from each other. During the main activities of the project the participants will deal with motivation reasons of young people about their leisure activities and connected to yoyoing. Participants will create a short methodology related to youth work on the example of yoyos. Participants apply theoretical knowledge in practice by participating in the Slovak yoyo nationals where the general public will be invited. Here participants will demonstrate performance in order to present meaningful leisure activity of yoyoing to the public. They also organize a workshop for beginners and for experienced yoyerss in order to motivate them to be active in yoyoing. During the exchange participants will learn and develop their skills how to judge at yoyo contests. At the nationals they will get the oopportunity to put these skills in practice. Also we will focus on the theme how to film a yoyo video of high quality through a practical workshop and regular filming. We expect that participants in the project will bring new knowledge and skills among young people in their own country, and not only among the yoyo community. Participants will be able to motivate young people better for yoyoing as a meaningful use of leisure time, and also to work better with youth due to methodology obtained. The project has a great intercultural impact and through participation in the project participants gain new contacts. Participants gain practical skills they can use when organizing various activities. They gain knowledge of judging at yoyo competitions. It has a considerable impact on gaining skills as filming and making videos. The project will help raise awareness about yoyoing not only at national but also at European level .
