European Youth Training Program
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project is a continuation of committed relationships with our Swedish partners: Edströmska school and vehicle maintenance companies in Vasteras. These relations have been driven by the encouragement of the international opening up of the National Ministry of Education, Leonardo projects led by other institutions in the region, the policy of the European Education Agency and the main points of our school project. The objectives are: - the promotion of equal opportunities and youth development by providing the conditions for the students to succeed - the meeting and the exchange of professional skills -the expansion of the professional opportunities given by a work experience in Europe to our French students - the linguistic and cultural enrichment - the valuing of each student in their educational and professional pathways - the consolidation of the concepts of respect, solidarity, cohesion and sharing Participants should be about 15, they perform mobility during the second year of their school leaving certificate (equivalent second year of llight and heavy vehicle maintenance Bac Pro) , they are mostly students who come from disadvantaged socio-cultural backgrounds . The diversity is present in different aspects: girls/boys, young French students from ethnic minorities or with light disabilities (dys. .. , hyperactivity, etc.). The selected students come most of the time from our European section, which is open to all, and the latter includes the linguistic and cultural preparation. Once the selection of candidates has been made (see Annex 1) , the practical and logistical aspects are organized ( providing families with useful brochures detailing relevant of the journey of the stay) the necessary documents are stored initially on a USB key .The allocation of the work placements is done in partnership with our Swedish correspondent and in collaboration with our students who, then get in touch with their tutors (email CVs and letters of application).Students who are often under 18 years old, are accompanied by two teachers who will be relayed at mid-stay by two other teachers of the steering team. During the first week, the students visit the companies and meet their tutors, they also spend time with Swedish students in our partner school. The last three weeks, students complete their training period and discover the country in their free time with the accompanying adults. Impacts in the short and long terms are: -when they come back the students feel more grown up and confident on personal, professional and linguistic aspects -the emulation around the mobility encourage other students to do an internship abroad and they become aware of the importance of foreign language learning -they often aspire to a new experience in Europe and feel valued by passing the Europro Certification and the A level with the Euro distinction, or getting the training assessment abroad -the satisfaction of the team supporting the project in terms of motivation and consolidation of students/ teachers relationship and cohesion of the steering committee members - the willingness of some of our colleagues to take the DNL exam (non-language subject) to boost their teachings - the recognition by the maintenance professionals of the advantages of this mobility on students and companies. - a spirit of openness to European programs of other fields in our vocational school - the outreach of our school at a local, regional and international scale. - the development of our collaboration with local vocational schools, local companies and the region institutions. In the context of a globalized and fluctuating economy, the Erasmus + program is more than ever relevant in the curriculum of our young students.
