This project is at the heart of all orientations that we defend in our Houses of Youth and Culture.Following the tragic events linked to the terrorist attacks of 2015, we made the finding that more and more individual in our society today rejects the other when there are differences. We also made the observation of increased nationalist rhetoric and hate in our country.To go against the rise of nationalism, and to defend the values we hold within our association, we wish to set up a youth exchange project for more European citizenship.Meeting objectives:Through this exchange, young people from different countries will share their passion: gliding sports, comparing the values of respect, solidarity, living together and sharing. The exchange we offer and we are building with youth addresses three main themes: - The board sports, citizenship vector.- What is Europe for you?- Environmental educationGroup composition and profile of participants:Willingness to accommodate groups of 8 young people 14-17 years (4 girls / boys 4) interested in winter sports Each group will be accompanied by two leaders / managers. the total group will be composed of 24 youth and six companions. These are young people who attend most regularly, the combination of their municipality. They are mostly from families with modest incomes. They have very little opportunity to enjoy holidays and leave their little town. Without the self-financing and subsidy system, they could hardly ever go on living; let alone in a foreign country to discover another culture because the costs are often too high. They are mostly beginners but a great attraction to practice sports.Description and Methodology: Thus, to meet the objectives "board sports, citizenship vector" and "What is Europe for you", we'll set up introductions to sports. Through these initiations they will share together, each participant will gain self-confidence, overcome his fears with respect to natural elements. They share the same sense of taste for effort, mutual aid. They will better understand the issue of Europe to be discussed during the stay.Indeed, to live better together, it is essential to better understand the other. During the exchange, we will set up workshops on "What is Europe for you? "The goal will be to compare the values, cultures and lifestyles of everyone. The workshops will take place in the form of games and debates. The purpose of these games will also break the language barrier. For this we will use active teaching tools that work well during exchanges of young Europeans. ("cultionary"; shifting debates; staging; "release language"; identification with the various languages of the accommodation ...).To meet the objective relating to the environment, we will ask, upstream of the stay, each country to work on a problem encountered at the local level on water management. The goal is for each participant to become aware upstream of the problem of water quality. Then the group will participate in a workshop with stakeholder of SURFRIDER FOUNDATION. A beach clean-up day will be organized during the stay to educate young people in each group to respect the environment. Following the beach clean, we will offer the participants to create an exhibition. For this they will build small group of sculptures with items found on beaches. Then they will fuel this exhibition with writings in different languages (French, Spanish, German, English) to explain their approach and European dimension of their project. The aim will be to exhibit their creations to the public.We hope that the project will have an impact on the level of participants:- The discovery of another culture (acceptance of differences, work on the stereotypes and prejudices)- Environmental awareness in terms of the quality of water and beaches.- An awareness of being a European citizen.In the long term , we would create a strong partnership and will also be open to new partners. The long- term goal would be to use the project " European Youth Ride" for young Europeans develop, through sharing the same passion of surfing , a sense of European citizenship and environmental awareness raising actions
