Recent studies carried out by the EU Commission and by Italia Lavoro, in our Country, show that the field of social and health care continued to expand in the peak years of the crisis and even after. The employment opportunities in the health and care sectors are growing and, indeed, the forecasts indicate that there are margins for a further increase in the coming years. The sector, however, remains a sector of growing skills and labor intensive.On the basis of these considerations, the project MOBI-CARE will support significantly the acquisition of professionalism about the technical competencies, pedagogical and social skills of the two identified targets: students and recent graduates in social and health care fields by providing additional knowledge needed to the enforceability of daily work, the professional quality and the number of interventions to guide and support intentionally approaches effective in treating issues related to disadvantaged people, marginalized or at risk and planning the team work also in the interests of transnational mobility.The project aims to offer high quality internships and, through ECVET, ensure recognition and transferability of skills acquired, in order to facilitate and support smooth transition of the learners in the labor market. MOBI-CARE implements Work Based Learning activities, as indicated in the National Law 107 of 07/13/2015, through transnational mobility actions aimed at the training of the learners. Transnational mobility that, on the basis of European policies on lifelong learning, must become an integral part of VET programs to enable learners to achieve high level qualifications, milestones for a successful inclusion in the labor market, for the development and improving of their career and to cope with the demands of companies of highly qualified staff.In line with the objectives of EU policies, through MOBI-CARE, the 6 sending VET-schools and the National Consortium as a whole, led by the Foundation NEUROMED, aim to improve the quality of VET, giving a European dimension to the educational paths and offering to the young participants the opportunity to test and deepen their expertises: competencies in the specific areas of social and healt care, cultural knowledge and language skills.This general goal, in line with the ET2020 Strategy, is pursued through a mobility experience for students and recent graduates of the 6 sending vocational schools and which consists of an internship in a foreign company, lasting 1 month for the students, and 2 months for the recent grauduates. The training programme includes an internship in selected companies in the social and health care, to acquire knowledge and skills within the sector and compare the various professional techniques, and activities aimed at the inclusion and integration in the context and for the improvement of language skills and to better know the culture of the hosting country.The main expected results from the project include: the rise of the personal and professional skills of the participants; the promotion of key competences connected with the exercise of real active citizenship; increasing the employment potential of the participants; the introduction of new training methods to complement existing practices and the improvement of the educational level of technical and vocational schools; the development of relations between the transnational partners and the promotion of processes of cooperation and exchange of good practice between the partners involved, with a significant impact on improving the educational and vocational guidance. The construction of a permanent network of transnational nature of public organisations and not only constitutes, therefore, one of the main objectives of the project and allows the exchange of experience and good practices at different levels (technical excellence, best practices in training policies and governance of the system). The Consortium, with this project, therefore, aims to give momentum to the internationalization of institutional relations and cooperation at European level. The opportunities for social and economic growth cannot be separated from the desire to create strong interdependence and synergy between education and vocational training institutions and strong partnerships with local and foreign business realities. The project is, besides, implemented in an EU context considering the European priority and thematic approached such as "ECVET for transparency and recognition of learning outcomes and qualifications" and contributes, in particular, to create a European area for lifelong learning in the social and health care sector. The whole activities are implemented by regarding a strong European perspective which is reflected in all project activities and results. So, the project aims to increase the knowledge of ECVET and its technical specifications and ensuring that the added value of ECVET is understood and perceived all over Europe.
