Date du début: 17 juin 2014, Date de fin: 17 janv. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Project "European Volunteers for Nature Conservation" is a continuation to La Team programme implemented by ELF (Eestimaa Looduse Fond/Estonian Fund for Nature) in cooperation with our partners during 2012-2013. The objective of this project is to promote conservation volunteering, young people´s active citizenship through volunteering, foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries, raise awareness of environmental and nature conservation problems in general. Volunteers from Spain, Germany and France will participate and organize conservation holidays in Estonia during 4 months. The activities include assisting and conducting different habitat management and restoration projects along with other international and local volunteers. The role includes communication with participating volunteers, occasionally taking care of transport, catering, accommodation, conservation works, tools, leisure, domestic and welfare aspects of projects. Volunteers will write a blog about their experiences to share it with a wider audience. During the first half of the service, the volunteers will learn about our organization and participate in our conservation holidays to become acquainted with the essence and objective of our organization and our activities. The last two months of the service, the volunteers will be in charge of organizing two international conservation holidays. The project promotes active citizenship that the local communities benefit. Participating organizations have an opportunity to create more long term projects in order to raise awareness of the importance of conservation volunteering in restoring and management of European landscapes.
