European Value Education ( EVE)
Date du début: 17 oct. 2015, Date de fin: 16 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

”Mihai Eminescu” School from Zalău, has a particular position in the pre-university environment from our county: it has the most students (1318), and teachers (80) and it is the only school with learning departments in 3 mother tongues (Romanian, Hungarian and German). The socio-economic changes have generated new problems (maladaptation, violence, behaviour problems, students migration). These, corroborated with the general decrease of learning motivation (although the school has got outstanding results at the Olympiads on different subjects), as well as an increasing competitiveness among schools in attracting students (because of funding per capita) and with growing demands from parents led to a slightly decreasing ranking of the school in the county (the results at the National Evaluation, less interested parents in enlisting their children in the school) In accordance with the satisfaction questionnaires applied to the parents, the students as well as the need questionnaires applied to the teachers, it has been concluded that the teaching, although scientifically proficient, is tributary to some unattractive traditional methods, centred on excessive information. The formal got has the precedence over the non-formal, there is a reticence to multimedia and IT because of the lack of experience of the teachers in this domain. That is why, in the European development plan there were established two major imperatives up to 2010: the necessity of improving the teaching skills (through attractive and applicable modern methods, use of IT equipment and non-formal methods) and the educators’ abilities of relating with others. Thus the alignment to the European educational standards is extremely necessary. Also the management needs to be oriented to leadership, to building a distinctive ethos of the school, to opening to community and creating a motivating environment for the employees. A placement mobility in a European country, with well-known proficiency, having as a partner an expert in the domain, represents a step forward to quality and internationalization. The objectives of the project are: increasing of the quality of the teaching and evaluation (didactic, methodological, psycho-relational and technical teaching skills), the ability of designing and implementing of modern managerial, educational and curricular strategies, developing of a modern and efficient leadership. North West Academy from Great Britain is an organization which grafts on our needs and objectives of institutional development (they possess professionalism, experience, tutoring; offer courses which cover all educational domains; organize placements according to individual and institutional needs) The project presumes the mobility of 8 people (7 teachers, each representing a different curricular department and 1 manager), who will carry on activities in placement units for 10 days. The selection of the participants will be transparent, with respect of objectivity and equality of chances for the teachers and the 3 school managers (external commission, 3 tests: evaluation of CVs, interview and language test). The project team will respect the stages of a project including the preliminary preparation. On agreement with the partner it has been established a detailed daily programme for the mobility for the teachers as well as for the manager which implies 8 tutors in the placement units and a tutor of NW Academy. The activity in three steps: assist – discuss with the tutor – apply is valid for each day of mobility. Participants will assist different activities: integrative activities, outdoor activities, lessons of different domains, using IT equipment and the interactive smart board, meeting the classes and the educational partners (in the case of the manager). At the end of the mobility tutors will evaluate the portfolios of the participants (they made while working in the placement unit) and will fill in an evaluation sheet, and the NW Academy tutor will send feedback questionnaires to the participants and the tutors. The host organization- NW Academy-complete certificates of participation to the mobility and of teaching competence. The expected results are: teachers able to use modern, efficient, attractive teaching and evaluating methods; multimedia and multi touch instruments; non formal methods, positive attitudes concerning tolerance, adaptability, flexibility, assertiveness. A European manager open to community, employees, empathic, capable of designing viable developing strategies, who possesses modern managerial instruments. The teachers and the manager will be “digitally alphabetized”, a ”sine qua non” condition for the efficient communication with the students and the third party. By forming a representative of each curricular department, the acquisitions will be transmitted to the other teachers as well and the school competitiveness will increase.
