The "European Vagabond 2" was an youth exchange taking place over 21 days bringing together 25 young people from Denmark, France, Spain, Romania and Poland. The participants were engaged in 3 bigger tasks, one on European identity, one active citizenship, and one on value creation. The participants were divided into groups of 5, and in these groups they were travelling throughout northern Denmark in the style of vagabonds while working on the three tasks. The participants had a great deal of freedom as to how they liked to travel, and how they liked to solve the different tasks. This was done to challenge the participants, taking them out of their day-to-day routine and make them truly reflect over what European identity and active citizenship and strategic objectives of European Union. The exchange aimed to strengthen the sense of European identity among youth in Europe and to make the youth engaged in European Union‘s issues, contributing to the achievement of EU‘s objectives. The objectives of the project were the following: 1. To promote active citizenship among 25 young people from Denmark, France, Poland, Spain and Romania; 2. To promote and develop the participants‘ sense of European identity and citizenship 3. To promote a sense of responsibility and engagement among the participants towards the Europe 2020 Strategy. The project had a great impact on the local community due to its length and interaction of participants with locals in North Jutland. The project was built on the experience from the project "European Vagabond" in the frame of Youth in Action programme implemented by InterStep in cooperation with the Spanish, Turkish and French partner organizations in August 2014.
