European Tool Kit for Quality Experience in Mobility Process

Our partnership concerns seven partners from six countries and gathers vocational schools, intermediary organisations and organisations that work in the field of intercultural exchanges. The aim of the E-TOOL MOB project was to highlight and analyse a very important issue: how to make the most of a European Mobility programme for the trainees on personal, professional, intercultural and social bases. We therefore compared how the apprentices deal with intercultural issues in the partners countries, before their mobility; we investigated how to get round the clichés and stereotypes in order to implement the tools for a real living experience abroad. We realized there is a common need for more attention to these matters in the education of our apprentices in our six countries. Therefore the project concerns the elaboration of an intercultural tool kit aimed to prepare young people (apprentices, trainees) for european mobilities. This tool kit is highly required by all the actors in a mobility projects: receiving countries, trainees, teachers, sending organisations, parents, institutions, social partners. The project final product (www.etoolmob.eu) is a ready to use intercultural tool kit that will allow young people to make the best of their experience abroad. It contains a document dedicated to intercultural preparation (“Let’s Go”), 3 sections dedicated to participants with useful information needed before leaving (“Why should I go and what to expect”, “What is expected of you”), some general information on the partner countries, past experiences testimonials from past participants, and a short overview of the Europass tool as well as a FAQs document and a list of the things to keep in mind while being abroad “Top 10 Tips”. The intercultural tool “Let’s Go” contains a document called “Explanation for teachers”. Thanks to this guide they have guidelines in order to make the most of the intercultural tool with their pupils.Check it out! www.etoolmob.eu
