Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project E.T.A. (European Teachers in Action) will be carried out by the Istituto Professionale Servizi per l'Agricoltura e lo Sviluppo Rurale "G. FORTUNATO", a secondary vocational school providing education and training in the fields of agriculture, farming, environment and rural development in Basilicata, a region in the south of Italy with great potential but with disadvantaged rural areas, where underestimated cultural values and unemployment push young people to move and search for work in other parts of the country and abroad. The school's aim is to provide students with adequate competences in order to build their own future in the area and promote themselves and their cultural identity at a European level. Most of our students come from disadvantaged rural areas with low household income and learning difficulties. One of the school's objectives is to limit school drop-outs, exclusions from the labour market and consequent social disease, through the involvement of students in national and transnational projects and activities, social inclusion strategies and basic skills improvement.Teachers training at a European level is an important step to make teachers aware of the framework in which their daily activity takes place in order to stimulate the students' awareness of their active European citizenship. The project foresees mobilities for 18 participants and specific training activities in the following fields:- improvement of foreign languages competences; - improvement of teaching strategies;- use of I.T.C. ;- CLIL methodologies;- development of European citizenshipThe teachers will benefit of a multi-cultural training and linguistic experience and develop new technical and methodological competences on the application of CLIL and ICT in the classroom. The training experience will help to develop new teaching methodologies and the information exchange among actors in the field of education and professional training in agriculture, farming, environment and rural development. Moreover, it will raise the parents reliability on an up-to-date school education system.
