Er Hangja Association organizes in S?cueni between the 4th and 9th of May 2015, a mobility involving 24 unemployed and Roma youngster from Romania, Slovakia and Hungary. The project addresses local issues, such as European and global youth unemployment, poverty and discrimination against Roma youth. During the youth mobility the 3 countries will present and discuss the unemployment and poverty in their country, will identify solutions to these problems. They will also learn to make a documentary video about S?cueni and its surroundings that will present problems faced by locals. The film will offer a panoramic view on the economic, social, educational situation of the urban and rural areas of S?cueni. By the documentary we want to help young people to acquire the know how of the realization of videos, interviews, documentaries, newspaper articles (the use of the camera, addressing questions, editing and cutting footage) because these are skills that will help young people to start learning professions that will support their future employment assertion: to become journalists, correspondents, reporters, writers, photographers, bloggers, etc. During the mobility the youngsters will accumulate only very basic skills related to writing articles or making interviews and filmed materials but the mobility can give boost to these young people to complete a course related to any of the mass media areas and commit in these areas for the future, thus avoiding unemployment. Also, through the exchange and the documentary we want to motivate participants and community members to eliminate prejudices against Roma youth to be more tolerant with culturally and socially disadvantaged people. The project will also include activities which aim to support the achievement of intercultural dialogue between young people from Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian and Roma ethnic groups.
