European roads to facilitate access between communities from Dumbravita and Balástya (ROADS)

This project was born as a result of present needs identified on both sides of the Romanian-Hungarian border. In the two communities, Dumbravita and Balástya, it can be noticed a continuous evolution, influenced both by the demographic factor, and by the economic factor, which gives a strong impulse to the development of the two communities. At the same time, it creates the need to adapt the transport infrastructure to the new requirements of the community. The infrastructure created improves the quality of life and develops both Romanian and Hungarian communities. The results and the effects of the project occur on both sides of the border by strengthening ties of cooperation both economically and socially; creating jobs; creating and operating of common sustainable structures; strengthening of institutional cooperation. The project developed 2 technical plans and 6 studies. The documentation consists of the necessary studies, geographic and topographic, approval documentation/ feasibility study, technical expertise/cost-benefit analysis and technical project with execution details. The target groups of the project are the communities of Dumbravita and Balástya consisting of a population of more than 7000 inhabitants. The project aims to improve the quality of transport between Romania and Hungary. It also aims the cooperation, the development of existing businesses and opening of new businesses, the development of markets, products and services offered by the two communities. By creating a new transport facility, the economy of the 2 localities will register a significant growth, diversifying the areas of activity and thus will create new jobs, preventing the exodus of population to urban centres. Tourists visiting Romania and Hungary will benefit as well of the new road.
