The problem of youth unemployment, transition from education to labor market and access to quality education that gives skills for jobs, has been high on the public and political agenda at European (and even international ) level, ever since the economic crises in 2008 has affected particularly the young generations and its effects are seen until today. The project ''European NGO network for the rights of young NEETs'' tackles the situation of engaging professional NGOs and youth workers in processes of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) on implementation of Youth Guarantee and other existing public funds (national or European, including ESF), respectively in policy-shaping that addresses the specific needs of young people in NEET situations. The project 'European Coalition for the Rights of Young NEETs' aims at strengthening civil society organisations and youth workers in Europe to act as legitimate stakeholders in policy making and implementation with a specific focus on the needs and rights of young NEETs. Objectives:1.Support the creation of 5 mixed, NGO-led groups at the level of partner states in order to M&E policies focusing on young NEETs, especially the implementation of Youth Guarantee and other existing public funds (national or European, including ESF);2.Exchange best practices in engaging youth workers and professional NGOs in policy dialogue with decision-makers, at local, national and European levels, on how to effectively implement policies addressing the needs of young NEETs;3. Create 1 European group led by professional civil society organisation and youth workers, having a specific role in engaging in policy dialogue and M&E at European level on policies related to young NEETs.Using, both formal and non-formal methods, the main activities of the project consist of:1.Four days contact-making seminar dedicated to youth workers, professional NGOs and decision makers will be implemented in Bucharest (Romania);2.Transnational research, 1 national and 4 transnational events:Back home, each partner will conduct a minimum of desk review on the state of policy implementation addressing the needs of young NEETs and how youth workers & professional NGOs are engaged in the process. Together with CREATIN, the partner organizations will also organize a 2 days event per country in order to debate, together with all stakeholders on the topic of youth policies, public funds allocation and mainstreaming the perspective of youth workers&professional NGOs. 3.European high-level event in Brussels (Belgium) will bring together key stakeholders at European levels and will aim at:a)presenting results national efforts and ensure all actors will interact and exchange best practices from their processesb)launching 1st European network and advocating for better monitored policies and mainstreaming youth workers' perspective;c)engaging all stakeholders in an European debate and bringing experts from EUROFOUND and Council of Europe to give insights on NEET phenomena.
