European identity
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 1 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Backround of the project was at our schools desire for growing international co-operation and need to rice our students European awareness. We believed it was important to have more knowledge about European attitudes and democracy to fight against racism. We wanted also to share ideas with teachers from other countries about European dimension. Use of multimedia and other digital solutions at teaching and learning was also our goal that succeeded. In a same time there was possibility to have better language skills as well. Final objective was to make European dimension and co-operation with other European people essential and normal daily thing at our school. At school there was head master and four active teacher involved in at so called international working group. Students involvement at the project was ensured by special student council for European matters. There were 15 students who met 20 times to organize students work about the subject and joined for example eTwinning project about Vlogging. Project was targeted especially for 9th graders - about 110 student. But in many part of the project hole school was involved. There was one teacher who attended course about "Europeans sharing views and multimedia". After structured course he worked as agent of change for our school. There were morning assemblies for whole school about European issues, European countries, minorities and racism. We had many visitors who talked and taught students how to fight against racism and prejudice. For example "Women refugee of the year" visited and was also interviewed by students. We had a special day at 9.5. for Europe. European awareness and knowledge was elevated also at civics lessons for 9th graders who made posters about European Union. We joined conference about interactive learning and produced one very large teaching experience with local museum. In the end all residents of the city were offered chance to try out our interactive learning output. At a result there was more knowledge about Europe and about being an European. Hopefully racism among students was lessened. ICT at learning has moved one step forward. This project was important for itself but real target is for future.Teachers involved are now better prepared for larger projects at European level for benefits of the students. We are now more aware about European dimension and have more contacts to European schools, teachers and students - people of Europe.
