European Horizons 3.0
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

European Horizons (EUH) is a think-tank based at Yale University in the USA. It was founded on February 14th, 2015, at the first European Student Conference, by undergraduate and graduate students from Yale University, 44 other American universities, and the Collège d’Europe. Through European Horizons 3.0, we will build on our past successes and expand our activities in a number of ways. First, over the last year EUH has established a network of students, scholars, professors, professionals, and policy makers united in their commitment to the European ideal. Over the coming year, EUH seeks both to broaden this network by adding new chapters, and to strengthen and deepen the connections within it by integrating chapters more fully into the EUH leadership structure. Second, EUH will amplify the activity and reach of its network by implementing a European Arts and Culture Initiative. Leveraging the contacts that our chapter network provides, we will invite European artists, musicians and filmmakers whose work touches on challenges facing the European Union to lead workshops and events at American universities. Along similar lines, we will also organise talks and discussions with European policy makers and politicians throughout our chapter network.Third, EUH will launch a new initiative, Policy Perspective, to bring together graduate and undergraduate student researchers studying issues relevant to EUH policy areas. Building on the chapters network, the Policy Perspective will establish a network of researchers that then conducts a yearlong research project on a single policy challenge. Once concluded, the research will be published through EUH’s website and a variety of other media. Research conducted for Policy Perspective will be incorporated into students’ academic theses as well as into EUH events throughout the year.
